LEADERSHIP & INSTITUTIONAL ADVISORY

Build Leadership Capacity That Does Not Depend on One Person.

Taysey Consults works with founders, boards, executive teams and institutions to strengthen leadership structures, improve decision-making and build the organisational capacity required for sustainable growth.

WHEN GROWTH OUTPACES LEADERSHIP CAPACITY

Strong Organisations Need More Than Strong Individuals.

Many organisations grow through the drive, experience and judgement of a small number of people. That may work for a period, but it becomes increasingly fragile as the organisation expands, responsibilities increase and decisions become more complex.

Sustainable growth requires leadership capacity to be distributed, decisions to be clear, accountability to be understood and organisational structures to support the strategy.

01

Leadership Dependence

Important decisions remain concentrated in a founder, chief executive or small group of senior leaders.

02

Strategic Misalignment

Teams remain active, but priorities, decisions and execution are not consistently connected to the organisation’s direction.

03

Unclear Accountability

Responsibilities overlap, ownership is uncertain and important work becomes delayed or dependent on escalation.

04

Growth Without Institutional Capacity

Revenue, visibility, programmes or headcount increase without the leadership and operating structures required to sustain them.

OUR ADVISORY APPROACH

How an Advisory Engagement Works

Every engagement is shaped around the organisation’s context, leadership priorities and desired outcomes. The process may vary, but the work typically develops through four stages.

STAGE 01

01 Understand

We begin by clarifying the organisation’s context, priorities, leadership challenges and the outcomes the engagement needs to support.

STAGE 02

02 Diagnose

We examine the relevant leadership structures, decision-making practices, relationships, accountabilities and organisational dependencies.

STAGE 03

03 Design

We develop practical recommendations, frameworks or interventions aligned with the organisation’s needs and capacity.

STAGE 04

04 Embed

Where required, we support leaders to implement agreed changes, strengthen new ways of working and review progress.

The scope may range from a focused leadership diagnostic to a longer-term advisory partnership.

WHAT AN ENGAGEMENT MAY INCLUDE

Structured Around the Challenge, Not a Standard Package

  • Leadership and organisational diagnostic
  • Executive-team effectiveness review
  • Leadership-role and accountability clarification
  • Board and governance review
  • Strategic-alignment sessions
  • Decision-making and operating-framework design
  • Succession and leadership-capacity planning
  • Organisational growth-readiness review
  • Leadership-team development
  • Implementation and progress-review support

The final scope is agreed only after an initial conversation and a clearer understanding of the organisation’s priorities.

WHAT STRONGER LEADERSHIP SYSTEMS ENABLE

From Individual Effort to Organisational Capacity

The purpose of advisory work is not to add unnecessary process. It is to help the organisation operate with greater clarity, alignment and resilience.

Clearer Decisions

Greater clarity about who decides, who contributes and how decisions connect to organisational priorities.

Stronger Accountability

Better-defined ownership, responsibilities and expectations across leadership roles and teams.

Greater Leadership Capacity

More leadership responsibility distributed across the organisation rather than concentrated in a few individuals.

More Sustainable Execution

Structures and leadership practices that support consistent delivery as the organisation grows or changes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before We Begin

How is advisory different from executive coaching?

Executive coaching primarily supports the development and decisions of an individual leader. Leadership and institutional advisory examines the wider organisation, including its leadership structures, decision-making, accountability, strategic alignment and capacity for sustainable growth.

Is this a standard consulting package?

No. The scope is shaped around the organisation’s context, leadership priorities and desired outcomes. A focused diagnostic may be appropriate in one situation, while another may require a longer advisory partnership.

Can advisory include leadership-team sessions?

Yes. An engagement may include executive interviews, leadership-team sessions, board conversations, facilitated workshops and implementation reviews where these support the agreed objectives.

Do you work with organisations outside Ireland?

Yes. Taysey Consults works across different locations and can structure engagements using in-person, virtual or blended delivery, depending on the requirements of the work.

What happens after the initial conversation?

We clarify the challenge, determine whether Taysey Consults is the right fit and, where appropriate, develop a proposed scope, approach and next step.
